By Chris Udochukwu Abuja (Precise Post) – The Nigeria’s COVID-19 Infection cases soared to 601 on Saturday, bringing the total confirmed cases to 51,905, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported. The agency reported that out of the 51,905 confirmed cases, 38,767 have been treated, recovered and discharged from various isolation centres across the 36 states of the federation and FCT. The NCDC in its report released via its twitter handle, said that the pandemic has not been without casualties, adding that 997 COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded so far in the country since the index case on 27th February 2020. According to the released report, the 601 confirmed cases were reported from 21 states and Lagos State – the epicentre of the novel virus infection, recorded 404 cases, representing 67.2% of the total confirmed cases in the day under review. The remaining 32.8% were recorded from the remaining 20 states where the infections were reported.
