By Ibrahim Kado Yola (Precise Post) – Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa says his administration is channeling its energies toward building a solid foundation and developing the state for the future. Fintiri stated this at a dinner with media managers in the state and launch of Adamawa Review magazine late on Saturday. The governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Bashir Ahmad, listed ongoing construction of flyovers, roads, and provision of other infrastructure as the solid foundation the administration is focusing on. “In this administration, we have very much focused on laying foundations for the development of the state and building Adamawa for the future. “We, therefore, believe that for the generation yet unborn, there must be an evidence. “Another solid foundation for the development of the state is the Adamawa Review document,” he said. In his remarks, Mr Umar Pella, the state’s Commissioner for Information thanked the media managers for their contributions to efforts at developing the state. Busted! How Day-old Baby Was Found in Gutter in Anambra

Awka (Precise Post) – Anambra police command has said that a day-old baby was on Saturday found inside a gutter in Awka, the State capital. An eyewitness told our correspondent that the baby who was abandoned in the gutter by an unknown person was picked after an early morning downpour in the area. The incident, it was gathered, occurred at Abuja Estate near Government House, Awka. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident. He said a Good Samaritan resident in the area reported the incident to the police around 8.25am on Saturday. Mohammed said,” On Saturday at about 8.25am, a Good Samaritan resident at Abuja Estate behind NSCDC office Awka reported at B Division Police Station Awka that on the same date at about 7.30am, a day-old baby boy was wrapped up in a cloth and abandoned inside a gutter at same area by an unknown person. “All efforts made to trace the mother of the baby proved abortive. COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 160 New Cases, Says Now 7,456 Patients in Various Treatment Centres in Nigeria

By Chris Udochukwu Abuja (Precise Post) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Saturday confirmed that the 160 new cases of COVID-19 recorded brought the total patients in its treatment centers and facilities to 7,456 patients. Precise Post recalls that the health agency had via it’s twitter handle account reported that out of 59,287 total confirmed cases, 50,718 patients have been treated and discharged while 1,113 deaths were also recorded. This implies that 7,456 patients (59,287-50,718 – 1,113) are now in the kitty of the NCDC undergoing treatment in its various isolation centres across Nigeria. According to the report, the 160 new cases were recorded from 13 states and FCT as follows: Rivers-42; Lagos-32; Plateau-21; FCT-18 and Kaduna-14.
