According to him, there will soon be mega community development project that they will be invited to commission. Those Who Had Contact With Dead Police Commissioner In Cross River State Asked To Self-Isolate

All those who had close contact with the late Cross River Police Commissioner have been directed to to report for isolation by the Chief Medical Director, CMD, of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital. Professor Ikpeme Ikpeme gave the directive while reacting to the death of Mr Jimoh Ibrahim the Cross River State Police Commissioner at the COVID-19 Isolation Centre in the hospital this morning. The naira suffered loss against the dollar at the parallel market on Thursday, December 17 to close at N478/$1. This represents a N2 drop when compared to the N476/$1 that it exchanged for on Wednesday, December 16. However, forex turnover rose by 9.6%, as the Naira’s exchange rate at the NAFEX window appreciated against the dollar to close at N394/$1 during intra-day trading on Thursday, December 17. This follows new Central Bank of Nigeria guideline barring mobile money operators and payment service providers from accepting diaspora remittances. However, some operators continue to pay remittances in Naira contrary to CBN’s directive that it should be paid cash in dollars or into the recipient’s domiciliary account. By Ogechi Okorie Abuja (Precise Post) – President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government has ordered the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC ) and the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to remove the 20 naira USSD fee imposed on subscribers for the retrieval of their National Identity Numbers (NIN). The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ibrahim Pantami gave the directive in Abuja on Friday. It was learnt that the Minister’s directive which takes immediate effect, was aimed at making the process easier and affordable. In a letter conveying the implementation of the directive, the Executive Vice Chairman NCC and the Director General of NIMC, informed Dr Pantami that the relevant authorities had met with, and negotiated a waiver with the Mobile Network Operators in that regard. Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has been dismissed by a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State, led by former Minister of Foreign Affairs Aminu Wali, on Thursday, November 17, for alleged “anti-party activities.” The group also accused the former Defence minister and 2019 PDP presidential aspirant, of “gross violation of constitutional orders of the PDP.” The Wali faction announced the expulsion of Kwankwaso, leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, shortly after a congress brought into place a new leadership of the faction. Pierre Buyoya, a former President of Burundi has died. The man died in Paris of Covid-19 at the age of 71, several close relatives told AFP on Friday. “President Pierre Buyoya died last night in Paris. He had Covid-19,” a member of his family told AFP, requesting anonymity. Several other relatives confirmed the death of Buyoya, who served as special envoy of the African Union to Mali and the Sahel from 2012 until November this year. A woman who decapitated an owl and shared the video online has died. It was gathered that the 21-year-old Colombian woman sparked outrage after posting a gruesome video of herself decapitating an owl on social media. She has now been assassinated. Mileydis Aldana, 21, dubbed ‘Owl killer’ was assassinated by a motorcycle rider outside her residence in the town of Corozal in the state of Sucre on Sunday afternoon.
