One of the co-founders of Bukka Hut, a Lagos-based eatery, Laolu Martins, is dead. Martins, who was a banker with over 21 years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking, stockbroking, asset and pension fund management, died on Tuesday night. One fake medical doctor, Andrew Godwin has been arrested by the Joint Taskforce Base 14 in Boi, Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State over the death of a patient. The suspect who hails from Nasarawa state was arrested on Sunday, September 25, 2022, for carrying out an unsuccessful surgery which led to the death of the 45-year-old patient identified as Joshua Haruna.  The deceased, a resident of Gambar Lere in the LGA, was until his death the former ward Chairman of APC, Boi C ward in Bogoro and Campaign Coordinator of Sen. Lawal Yahaya Gumau. Edo government declares 24-hour curfew in Obazagbon and Ogheghe

A  24-hour curfew has been declared by the Edo state government in Obazagbon to Ogheghe areas of Irhirhi-Arogba-Obazagbon-Ogheghe Road. The curfew which would begin from 12:00am Thursday, September 29, 2022 to 12:00am Friday, September 30, 2022, would make way for a security exercise to be carried out by the government in the affected areas. The announcement was made in a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, on Wednesday September 28.  Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay indoors during the curfew.
