Former deputy governor of Lagos State, Alhaja Sinatu Ojikutu, has opened up on how Remi Tinubu, the wife of the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, knelt down and begged her not to inform the press when her husband sent her out of a meeting in Lagos. She said that when Tinubu was having issues with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, he thought she was supporting Obasanjo, but that was not the case. And that when Obasanjo visited Lagos for an event and she was invited, Tinubu walked her out of the meeting when he saw her there. She said that she was ready to talk to the pressmen about what Tinubu did to her, but when she got outside and met Tinubu’s wife, she knelt down and told her not to let the press know. Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has been appointed the chairman of the Entertainment Committee for President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration. Ahead of May 29, 2023, preparations are already in top gear for the president-elect’s swearing-in. A trending list on the internet showed that the actress would be chairing the Entertainment Committee for Tinubu’s inauguration. 95-year-old man identified as Alhaji Muhammad Sabo has reportedly married a young girl said to be 14 years old in Abuja community. Reps’ Fact-Finding Team confirms Runview Estate Demolished Houses Within Red Zone

By Chris Udochukwu House of Representatives Committee on Aviation led by Honourable Nnolim Nnaji has established that the houses being demolished by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, (FAAN) in Runview Ajao Estate in Lagos were indeed within the red zone. The Committe which held a public hearing on the demolition exercise on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023 resolved to send a fact-finding team headed by Honourable Ifeanyi Chudi Momah to visit the site on Friday, May 5th, 2023. Honourable Momah who was conducted along with his five-man team to inspect Runview demolition site by the Managing Director of FAAN, Captain Rabiu Yadudu affirmed that the structures some of which were on top of aviation fuel pipelines and canal posed great danger to flight operations. One Die As Police Rescue 58 Persons From A Kidnappers Den In Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has rescued 58 kidnapped victims held hostage at Udulu Forest, Gegu LGA of Kogi State, bordering Sardauna Forest, Nasarawa State, and other identified kidnappers’ den in communities contiguous to the FCT.  A statement from the command says the bandits/kidnappers on sighting the security team coordinated by the Police fired at the security team which resulted in a shootout duel. The bandits were overpowered and escaped with various degrees of bullet injuries leaving behind their victims. Police Nab 94 Suspected Commercial Sex Workers, Others In Delta 

By Edeki Igafe Warri (Delta), – The Police Command in Delta has apprehended 94 women, suspected to be commercial sex workers, in Ughelli North Local Government Area (LGA) of the state. The spokesman of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this to newsmen on Sunday in Warri, also said that 59 male suspects were arrested alongside the female suspects in the raid. He said that the suspects were nabbed on Monday at some identified criminal rendezvous at Evwreni Community on the East-West Road and some black spots in Ughelli. Edafe said that the operation was carried out by the operatives drawn from the Command’s various operations department and led by the Commander, Dragon Patrol, CSP Graham Imade. He said the operations department comprised: SIB, Dragon Patrol, Safer highway, Raiders, CP D-Coy squad, Rapid Response Squad (RRS). “They embarked on an intensive confidence building patrol, stop and search, and show of force while acting on credible intelligence report. “During the operation, 59 male suspects and 94 female suspected to be commercial sex workers were arrested,” he said. Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has accused the Nigerian Government of being unfair to former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu who is being jailed in the United Kingdom, UK. Ohanaeze’s spokesman, Alex Ogbonnia, accused the Federal Government of being after Ekweremadu. Ogbonnia wondered why the Federal Government would confiscate Ekwereamdu’s properties amid his travail in the UK. A UK court had sentenced Ekweremadu to nine nine years in prison for organ trafficking and harvesting plot. However, Ogbonnia accused the Federal Government of doing nothing to help Ekweremadu. Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has reacted to reports of him becoming the Chief of Staff to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu. El-Rufai said he won’t be Tinubu’s Chief of Staff after leaving office on May 29. Following his closeness to Tinubu during the electioneering period, reports had it that El-Rufai was of those being considered for the position of the president-elect’s Chief of Staff. However, El-Rufai said he would rather remain in the private sector while contributing to Nigeria’s development. The governor spoke while commissioning the Gombe Geographic Information Systems service centre, on Saturday.
