The meeting which took place in the French capital on Monday, was brokered by Kwankwaso’s ally Abdulmumin Jibrin who was formerly in Tinubu’s camp. “Yes, they had a meeting,” an impeccable source in Kwankwaso’s camp told Channels Television, adding that talks have not been concluded. According to the source, both men are still in Paris and expected to hold more talks. When an authoritative source within the Tinubu camp was contacted about the meeting, he said, “It’s true. It was in France they met as reported. Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, lawyer of embattled Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has accused Lagos Police of starving his client in detention. Man, 25, Dies Inside Well In Kano

Kano, – A 25-year old man, Umar Kabir, has died in a well at Gudantile Village in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State. This was disclosed in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, on Tuesday in Kano. Abdullahi said the incident occurred on Monday afternoon. “We received an emergency call from Gezawa Local Government fire station at about 02:20 p.m. from  Aminu Ibrahim that a man  fell inside a well. “Kabir fell inside the well and got trapped. “We immediately sent our rescue team to the scene at about 3:15 p.m.,” he said. He said the victim was, however, brought out of the well already dead, and his corpse was handed over to Ward Head of Gezawa Local Government, Mallam Mustapha Gudantile. Three men identified as Mukaila Nofiu, Wasiu Rasheed and Hassan Kazeem, were on Monday, May 15, arraigned before the Yaba Magistrate Court in Lagos state for allegedly beating a man named Alade Bello to death and allegedly attempting to murder another, Lasisi Sikiru. The prosecutor, Haruna Magaji, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on April 14, 2023, at the Igbolodo village, along Ketu, Omu Road, Lagos around 2.46 pm. According to Magaji, the accused men used planks and wood to beat the deceased to death and attempted to kill one other but did not succeed. He added that the offences contravened Sections 233 and 230 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2015. Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has made a new revelation amid confusion surrounding the fuel subsidy removal,. He revealed that the country spent N13 trillion on subsidies payment from 2005-2021. Mustapha disclosed this on Monday while unveiling the 2022-2026 Strategic Plan of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative in Abuja. He explained that the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration had managed the petrol subsidy best.
