He said he campaigned for the former Lagos State governor pro bono. “I campaigned for [Bola] Tinubu because I benefited from his free education, and security during RRS, nobody gave me money,” Baba Tee said. “We used to suffer from a lot of insecurity back then. Hoodlums will send letters that they are coming to terrorise a particular area and they will indeed come. Nightlife in Lagos then was hellfire. But when Tinubu came, Lagos was reformed. “My mum who was a petty trader was also a victim of the robbery in Lagos then. Tinubu actually eradicated insecurity in Lagos. Keyamo who disclosed this via his X account while justifying the relocation of the corporate headquarters of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) from Abuja to Lagos said: “When I did my Channels TV interview yesterday, I had not been briefed as to the amount FAAN spent last year alone on DTA (Duty Tour Allowance) for the principal officers who travelled back and forth from Lagos to Abuja almost on a daily basis. The amount came up to N493,678,620.37. This is aside from the air tickets which I mentioned that amounted to N451, 058,950.09. So, in total, because of insistence on naming Abuja as the headquarters of FAAN (when there are no offices in Abuja to accommodate all the principal officers) FAAN spent close to N1 billion in one year!

Unprecedented! Official Dollar Rate Rises Above Black Market Rate

By Ndubuisi Ekekwe History was made yesterday in Nigeria: “In a surprising turn of events on Tuesday, the foreign exchange market experienced an unusual occurrence as the naira reached N1,482/$1 on the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM). This marked a significant increase compared to the parallel market rate, which remained anchored at N1,460/$1, maintaining the rate from the previous day.” Yes, the official rate rose above the black market rate. So, if the official rate is ahead of the black market, we can all agree that some asymmetric endogenous factors are deeply at play here. Simply, the official demand was so high that the supply side crashed, moving price to a new equilibrium point in the supply-demand curve of Naira/USD. I think a state of emergency is due right now to save Naira. (I suspect that Dangote Refinery is mopping all available USD to import crude oil since it cannot rely on Nigeria now, creating more pressure on the Naira.) Good People, it may be time for the president to address the nation on what is going on because basic …
