ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –  The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has commenced another nationwide exercise to strike off 100,000 companies from its register over failure to comply with statutory filing requirements.
In a public notice issued on Wednesday, the Commission said the exercise, tagged Batch 6, is being carried out in accordance with Section 692 (3) and (4) of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), 2020.
According to the CAC, the affected companies have 90 days from the date of the notice to regularise their records by filing all outstanding Annual Returns as well as submitting Persons with Significant Control (PSC), also known as Beneficial Ownership, information.
The Commission said the list of the affected companies has been published on its official website for public access.

It advised affected companies to provide evidence of compliance within the stipulated period by sending the required documentation to the Commission’s designated email address for strike-off matters.
The CAC warned that companies which fail to comply within the 90-day window will be removed from the Register without further notice.
The Commission reiterated its commitment to maintaining an accurate and up-to-date companies register while ensuring prompt and efficient service delivery to businesses and the general public.
The public notice was signed by the management of the Corporate Affairs Commission and dated July 15, 2026.
