UMUAHIA (PRECISE POST) – Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has expressed gratitude to the people of the state for their support as his administration marked its third anniversary in office with a thanksgiving service and the inauguration of key projects.
Speaking during the thanksgiving service held at the event centre near Okpara Square in Umuahia, Otti described the occasion as a moment of reflection on the administration’s journey and an opportunity to appreciate God for His “unfailing and enduring faithfulness.”
The governor in his remarks released on his X handle on Monday, thanked the people of Abia for their trust, encouragement, and continued support, which he said had remained the foundation of the administration’s achievements.

According to him, the progress recorded by his government would not have been possible without the partnership and cooperation of the people.
Otti also acknowledged the role of religious leaders, particularly the President of Living Word Ministries International, Brother Emma Okorie, and other clerics whose prayers and support, he said, had strengthened him since the beginning of his political journey in 2014.
The governor noted that his commitment to serving God alongside his family had remained central to the successes recorded by his administration.
As part of activities marking the anniversary, Otti proceeded to Umuagu Ibeku, where he flagged off the construction of a 1,000-seat Ecumenical Centre.
He explained that the project was in fulfilment of a personal vow made years ago and clarified that the initiative was entirely private and would not be funded with government resources.
The governor later inaugurated the rehabilitation of the ₦1.3 billion Ubakala Water Scheme in Umuahia South Local Government Area and the Ariaria Water Scheme in Aba.
He said the projects were aimed at improving access to clean and safe water for residents across the benefiting communities.
Otti reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a better Abia State, expressing confidence that with God’s grace and the support of the people, the state would continue on the path of development and progress.
