FX Obstruction: Banks to Maintain ‘Post No Debit’ Status On 38 Companies Account – CBN
By Chris Udochukwu Abuja (Precise Post) – Following observation that gaming companies were allegedly disrupting FX market, the Central Bank of Nigeria has directed all banks to place 38 companies’s account including several gaming and sports betting companies, on post-no-debit with immediate effect. The order was contained in a circular signed by Bello Hassan, CBN’s director of banking supervision. The CBN gaming companies were allegedly accused of disrupting FX market when CBN doesn’t sell FX to them. The order was directed on Friday September 4,2020. This directive means that the 38 companies involved can not make any transactions due to the post-no-debit order from CBN. See the order :
