COVID-19: Death Toll Now 1,115 as 163 Fresh Cases Are Recorded

By Ogechi Okorie Abuja (Precise Post) – The death toll arising from COVID-19 since the index case in February now 1,115 as 163 fresh cases were recorded on Sunday in Nigeria, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control report said. The report released via it’s twitter handle said total confirmed cases have risen to 60,266 out of which 51,735 have been treated and discharged from various isolation and treatment facilities across the country. According to the report, infection case of Lagos State recorded an upsurge to the tune of 113 to come top on the table followed by Kaduna state with 21 cases. The remaining 29 cases were recorded from ten states including the FCT as follows:Osun-8; Ondo and Oyo-5 each; Ogun-3; Bayelsa and Taraba-2 each; Edo, FCT, Katsina and Plateau-1 each. COVID-19 Update: Total Cases Now 58,062 as NCDC Reports 213 Fresh Infections

By Francis Etuko Abuja (Precise Post) – The latest report on COVID-19 released in Nigeria has shown that the country’s total confirmed cases have risen to 58,062 with the 213 new infections recorded on Friday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). The NCDC also reported that 49,606 patients have been treated and discharged from different isolation facilities across the country. Releasing the report late Friday via it’s twitter handle account, the NCDC added that 1,103 patients have lost their lives to COVID-19 related treatments. The health agency reported that the 213 new cases were recorded from 17 states and FCT as follows: Lagos and Plateau-51 each; FCT-29; Rivers-18; Ondo-12; Oyo-9; Osun-8Gombe and Ogun-7 each. Total COVID-19 Cases Hit 56,017 as NCDC Confirms 188 New Cases

By Ogechi Okorie Abuja (Precise Post) – The total COVID-19 cases in Nigeria rose to 56,017 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced that 188 fresh cases were confirmed on Friday across the country. The NCDC in its report released via twitter handle said that the fresh cases were reported in 19 states as follows: Lagos-47Enugu-25Plateau-21FCT-14Abia-11Delta-10Bauchi-8Ondo-8Kaduna-8Ogun-6Imo-5Benue-4Katsina-4Taraba-4Edo-3Kwara-3Oyo-3Rivers-2Yobe-2 This brought the total confirmed cases to 56,017 and total discharged figure now 43,998. Plateau Accounts for 183 Out of 296 New Cases of COVID19 on Tuesday in Nigeria – NCDC

COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 239 New Cases; Plateau Accounts for 49%

The report which it released via Twitter handles has it that Plateau state which has now replaced Lagos as the epicentre of the virus infection accounted for 49% of the newly recorded cases. NCDC says 340 New Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed; Kaduna Highest with 63, FCT 51

According to the report released by the agency via it twitter, Kaduna recorded the highest number of infections with 63 new cases followed by the FCT with 51; Plateau came third with 38 new cases while Lagos, the known epicentre of the COBID-19 infection in the country came forth with 33 cases. Others are: Delta-25, Gombe and Adamawa-21 each, Edo-20, Katsina-17, Akwa Ibom-11, Ekiti-10, Rivers-9, Ondo-5, Ebonyi-4, Cross River and Ogun-3 each, Sokoto, Imo and Nasarawa -2 each. The NCDC further reported that the 340 new cases brought the total confirmed cases to 51,304 out of which 37,885 patients have been treated, recovered and discharged from various isolation centres across the country. NCDC Confirms 476 New COVID-19 Cases

This new confirmed cases bring the total confirmed cases to 50,964 out of which 37,569 have been discharged and 992 deaths recorded. The NCDC report released via Twitter handle has it that Lagos State, the epicentre of COVID-19 recorded 235, FCT 44, Kaduna 41 and Borno 33.
