Mbaka Returns To Adoration Ministry After Suspension Amidst Jubilation

By Josiah Okechukwu The suspended Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, returned to the state on Wednesday amidst wild jubilation. Precise Post recalls that following his suspension by the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga, the fiery priest had proceeded to the monastery. The diocese also shut down the Adoration Ministry over eight months ago and on June 3, 2022, the Bishop Onaga banned Mbaka from commenting on political issues. Shortly after the initial ban was lifted, Mbaka violated the political neutrality and attacked the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, describing him as a “stingy man.” Last October, the diocese transferred Mbaka from the chaplaincy to the monastery and named Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi to replace him (Mbaka) as the new chaplain of the Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy. The Bishop also advised Catholic faithfuls to pray for Mbaka.

Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, has revealed what God told him concerning Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, and other agitators this 2022. He said God will show Kanu and other detainees mercy. Speaking on Saturday, Mbaka appealed to his fellow priests to stop castigating him for praying for and blessing the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, over his travails. The cleric, who intensified prayers for the IPOB leader and other agitators under incarceration in various prisons, stated that he sees the IPOB leader as his son. Mbaka gave his 2022 New Year message during the crossover night service at the Adoration Ground, Emene, Enugu. A warning has been given to the federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari concerning Nnamdi Kanu. The Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministry Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka warned that there will be more trouble if the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, dies in custody of the Department of State Services (DSS). Mbaka spoke on Sunday as he asked his congregation to pray for the release of the secessionist on Sunday. The cleric, who commended IPOB for calling off its Monday sit-at-home exercise, said the danger of the order was becoming a problem instead of a solution. Recall that IPOB had ordered the arrest of anyone found enforcing the already-suspended Monday sit-at-home order in the South-East. Umahi Visits Adoration Ministry, Urges Mbaka Not To Criticize Buhari

The plea was made by Ebonyi state governor, Dave Umahi when he visited Mbaka in Enugu on Sunday, 24th October, 2021. He also made a donation of N30 million. Umahi said that the Southeast governors, Ohaneze Ndigbo and other important persons in the zone are making efforts for Nnamdi Kanu to be released from detention as soon as possible. Speaking during the 2021 harvest, thanksgiving and bazaar of the held in Enugu today 24th October 2021, Umahi pleaded with Father Mbaka not to say anything against Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, when he visits the Southeast. What you get, instead, are religionists pushing selfish political and other hidden agendas and or preparing virgin grounds for one agenda or the other. A significant aspect of the problem facing democracy in Nigeria today stems from the army of politicians in cassocks who, after ordination for religious duties, use their high priestly calling to multiply the confusion in the nation’s body politic. Unless we find a way to quarantine these politically exposed “prophets”, more damage will continue with their pronouncements. The widely available utterances of two top clergymen, the Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of the Catholic Church, Enugu, and Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Citadel Global Community Church, Lagos, are the reasons for this week’s discourse. The Rev. Tension in Enugu as Bishop Onaga suspends Mbaka, closes Adoration Ministry

The Catholic Church in Enugu are impatiently awaiting the response of Adoration faithful as Bishop Callistus Onaga makes good his threat to suspend Fr. Ejike Mbaka.
