Due to noise pollution, the Lagos State administration, led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has closed the Ifelodun Mosque, a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), and a number of other places of worship. The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who made this known on Thursday on his X handle said that the worship centres were sealed on Wednesday for also committing other environmental infractions. The Commissioner further identified other facilities sealed by the officials of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) to include Avro Supermarket, hotels, Euphoria Night Club, Lady B Gold Bar, Mainland Leisure View Hotel, amongst others.
