NDLEA arrests lady with multiple identities, recovers 296,000 tablets of drugs

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested a 36-year-old lady, Chioma Afam, and her partner, Peace Caleb, for smuggling 296,000 tablets of illicit drugs from Anambra State to Gombe state. This was made known in a statement by the NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, on Wednesday. According to the statement, Afam and her 22-year-old accomplice, Caleb, who both use multiple identities and wear hijab to evade security scrutiny, were arrested in Benue State on Saturday, when they tried to smuggle the tablets of Diazepam and Exol-5. Afam is said to have used different names like Amina, Uzoamaka, and Ifunanya, in carrying out her illicit acts. “Their vehicle coming from Onitsha, Anambra state was intercepted along Makurdi Alliade road while heading to Gombe State via Makurdi,” the statement revealed. Abuja – The Lagos State Police Command has arrested more suspects in connection to the murder of the Super TV CEO, Usifo Ataga. This was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu during a briefing and parade of suspects at the Command headquarters in Ikeja. Odumosu, who had yet to give details on the number of suspects arrested and their connection to the murder, said the case was progressing and the police would never compromise on it. N128m investment scam: EFCC arrests Ibadan CEO

By Chris Udochukwu Ibadan – A 43-year-old company executive has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibadan Zonal Office, for allegedly defrauding people of over N128 million, in a fraudulent investment scheme. This was contained in a statement signed by the EFCC’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, and made available to newsmen on Friday, in Ibadan. Customs hand over suspect arrested with 54 ATM cards to EFCC in Kano
