Kwankwaso Mourns Death of Prof. Jibril Aminu and Justice Mohammed Uwais

ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –   Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has mourned the death of the passing of two towering figures in the space of just three days,  Professor Jibril Aminu and former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mohammed Uwais.

In his condolence message releaaed on the his  X account handle @KwankwasoRM, the former minister of Defence said  Professor Jibril Aminu, who died at the age of 85, leaves behind a legacy of excellence across multiple spheres of national life.

Renowned for his remarkable contributions to academia, medicine, and Nigeria’s democratic development, Prof. Aminu’s impact will be remembered as foundational in shaping modern Nigeria. His death marks the departure of a statesman whose influence was felt across generations, Kwankwaso said.

He continued: “Equally mourned is Justice Mohammed Uwais, whose name has become synonymous with integrity and the progressive evolution of the Nigerian judiciary. Best known for his tenure as Chief Justice of Nigeria and for chairing the Electoral Reform Committee, Justice Uwais steered the judiciary through some of the nation’s most challenging periods with unwavering dedication.

Offering his condolences, RMK extended heartfelt sympathies to the families of the deceased, as well as the people and governments of Adamawa and Kaduna States.

“May Allah SWT forgive their shortcomings,” he added.
