ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Former Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for appointing him as Deputy Director, Security and Intelligence I, of the 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council.
Matawalle, in a statement posted on his X handle on Saturday, described the appointment as a call to greater service, responsibility and sacrifice, rather than merely an honour.
He said he was humbled by the opportunity to serve again in an assignment of national importance, assuring that he would bring his experience, strategic thinking and commitment to the task.
“To Mr. President, I remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to have served in the 2023 Presidential Campaign as Zonal Coordinator, North-West of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, where I had the privilege of working across the seven states of the North-West in support of Mr. President’s 2023 presidential bid,” Matawalle said.
According to him, his experience during the 2023 campaign remains one of the most important chapters of his political career and has prepared him for the responsibilities of the new assignment.
Matawalle said he would redouble his efforts as he returns to the Security and Intelligence Standing Committee, adding that the relationships and lessons acquired during the previous campaign would help him deliver effectively.
He also highlighted his continued support for the Tinubu administration since the 2023 election, noting that he founded the Tinubu Again Movement to communicate the administration’s policies, programmes and achievements across the country.
“As a Party-Man, I am equally grateful to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress for the confidence placed in me and for the opportunity to serve as part of the team entrusted with this important national assignment,” he added.
Matawalle pledged to work closely with the Director-General and other members of the Presidential Campaign Council in a spirit of unity and professionalism.
He said his immediate objective would be to contribute to securing victory for President Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 presidential election.
“I am ready for the task. I accept the appointment fully and will redouble my efforts to ensure that the confidence reposed in me is justified by results,” he said.
He further pledged his loyalty, diligence and dedication to the campaign, while expressing renewed commitment to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Matawalle therefore prayed for the continued success of President Tinubu, the APC and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
