ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has celebrated his 58th birthday, revealing that he has spent 38 years of his life serving God.
Adegbite made the disclosure during a thanksgiving celebration held at the NCPC headquarters in Abuja, describing his life and achievements as a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
The celebration was attended by his wife, Princess Adewunmi Fadeke, children, members of the NCPC management and staff, friends and other distinguished guests.
The event featured prayers, goodwill messages, presentation of gifts and the cutting of the birthday cake.
Former Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, who attended the occasion, congratulated Adegbite on attaining 58 and commended his commitment to the service of God and the nation.
She prayed for continued strength, divine protection and greater accomplishments for the NCPC boss.
Reflecting on his journey, Adegbite said: “Out of the 58 years I have lived on earth, I have spent 38 years serving God.”
He attributed his accomplishments to the grace and faithfulness of God, while expressing appreciation to his wife, family and staff for their support and prayers.
Adegbite also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, particularly for the First Lady’s personal birthday message.
He described his appointment to head the NCPC as a privilege and an opportunity to continue serving God, contributing to national development and promoting unity within the Body of Christ.
The NCPC Executive Secretary stressed the need for religious harmony, peace and stability in Nigeria, urging members of staff to regard every position of responsibility as an opportunity to make a positive impact.
He said the pilgrimage exercises conducted under his leadership over the past two and a half years had been rewarding and spiritually rejuvenating, adding that preparations for the next pilgrimage exercise would commence in earnest.
Adegbite, who also serves as Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos State Chapter, and Chairman of the Southern Christian Leaders Assembly, is the fourth substantive Executive Secretary of the NCPC.
