ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved a total of $1.07 billion for healthcare improvements under the HOPE program, alongside an allocation of N4.8 billion for HIV treatment.
According to the statement released on the X account of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), the Coordinating Minister of Health, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate who disclosed this revealed that $500 million of the approved funding will be directed towards bolstering primary healthcare services, as well as enhancing maternal and child health.
Additionally, the government will procure 150,000 HIV treatment packs within the next four months, underscoring its ongoing commitment to accessible and affordable healthcare for all citizens.
