Abuja (PRECISE POST) – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed reports linking the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap, to an ongoing investigation into an alleged visa fraud scheme.
The anti-graft agency clarified that Nandap is not a suspect in the investigation and has not been implicated in any aspect of the case.
The clarification followed public speculation linking some senior officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service to the probe.
The EFCC said its investigation remains focused on individuals directly connected to the alleged visa fraud, stressing that the NIS Comptroller General had been cleared of any wrongdoing.
The commission urged members of the public to disregard reports suggesting Nandap’s involvement in the case.
It reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a thorough, impartial and evidence-based investigation, adding that further details would be made available as the probe progresses.
