ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory Council, has congratulated the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on the Federal Capital Territory, Rt. Hon. Muktar Aliyu Betara, on his 59th birthday.
In a birthday message signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Grace Ike, the union described Betara as a resilient and humble leader whose public service career has been defined by commitment to development and unity.

Ike noted that Betara’s leadership has contributed to significant infrastructural improvements and better budgetary provisions for the Federal Capital Territory, resulting in enhanced living conditions for residents. She also highlighted his philanthropic interventions, including the donation of medical equipment, empowerment initiatives for youth and women, support for vulnerable groups, and the execution of key community projects such as health centres, street lighting, ambulances, and sports facilities.
As the lawmaker marks his 59th birthday, the NUJ praised his “selfless leadership and bridge-building,” describing him as an inspiration to colleagues and constituents alike.
The Council wished him continued good health, wisdom and strength in the years ahead.
