ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reinforced his administration’s commitment to an efficient and results-driven public service with the presentation of new official vehicles to Level 17 officers across the state.
The beneficiaries, who are Directors within the Lagos State Public Service, occupy strategic positions in Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), where they play a critical role in policy implementation and service delivery.
Speaking during the presentation, the governor emphasized that the gesture was not merely symbolic but a practical intervention aimed at enhancing productivity and efficiency within the system.
Disclosing this on his X handle @jidesanoolu on Tuesday, the Governor said equipping top-level officers with the necessary tools to perform their duties effectively is essential to achieving the broader goals of governance.
“These are officers who drive the day-to-day operations of government. Supporting them is a practical step to help them do their work better,” Sanwo-Olu said.

He stressed that a motivated and well-supported workforce remains the backbone of good governance, noting that providing the right working conditions fosters accountability, dedication, and improved performance.
The governor further explained that the initiative forms part of ongoing reforms by his administration to strengthen institutional capacity and elevate the standard of service delivery across the state.
“When people are properly equipped, they take more ownership, stay focused, and deliver with greater commitment,” he added.
Sanwo-Olu reiterated that his government will continue to invest in the welfare and productivity of public servants, describing the move as a strategic effort to build a responsive and high-performing civil service capable of meeting the growing demands of Lagos residents.
The presentation of the vehicles is seen as another step in the state government’s drive to modernize its public service and ensure that key officials are empowered to deliver impactful results.
