Abuja – The All Progressives Congress (APC), has said it will report the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, (AMEN) Father Ejike Mbaka to Pope Francis for threatening the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena said this in reaction to comments credited to the Catholic priest.
In a sermon on Wednesday, Mbaka asked Buhari to resign over the worsening insecurity in the country.
But in a statement on Friday, the APC chieftain said if the priest continues to “cause disaffection” for the government, he will report him to Pope Francis, world leader of the Catholic Church.
Nabena said Mbaka is supposed to use “all known spiritual means of averting crisis but rather threatening a democratically elected government for his own personal benefit while pretending to be speaking for the people”.
“One will wonder whom Father Mbaka is emulating because the Lord Jesus Christ did not threaten to bring down the government during his own time, in fact, Jesus Christ obeyed and honoured constituted authority,” he said.
“That’s why he paid his tax. We are calling on Father Mbaka to concentrate on his spiritual calling and stop speaking like politicians who it is obvious he (Mbaka) has been dining and wining with.
“If Mbaka has found another political ally, it is better to leave a political message for politicians.
“Calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to either resign or be impeached because of the current challenges is ungodly.
“Father Mbaka should not, however, take his luck too far because there is a lot to tell the Vatican and the Pope about his person and his sources of inspiration.”
He asked the priest to emulate Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) who “prays and fasts” to avert crisis in the country.

Abuja (Precise Post) – Group under the auspices of APC Patriots, Anambra chapter has called on the All Progressives Congress to led from the mistake that led to the party’s abysmal performance in last Saturday’s bye-election in Abia state and jettison any plan to foist an unpopular candidate in this year’s gubernatorial election in the state.
The group observed that the rancour which trailed an alleged imposition of candidate was responsible for the party’s loss of the Aba North and South Federal Constituency seat to the rival People’s Democratic Party, PDP last Saturday.
In a statement jointly signed by the Co-ordinator of the group, Dozie Ikedife, and spokesman, Hon. Victor Afam Ogene, the group wondered how an aspirant(Mascot Uzor-Kalu), who was said to have won the APC primaries with 47, 825 votes – as announced by the Barrister Bisi Idaomi-led electoral committee – could not garner beyond 3, 674 votes in the general election.
Notedly, a chieftain of the party from the area, Prince Paul Ikonne, Executive Secretary, National Agricultural Land Development Authority(NALDA), had also decried the process that led to Mascot’s emergence.
Other members of the group’s sterling committee include former House of Representatives members, Chizor Obidigwe and Chukwuemeke Nwogbo, APC South east zonal youth leader, Olisa Onyeka, communications guru, Ike Chidolue, business tycoon, Chidi Ogbaji, veteran strategist, C.J Chinwuba, and Mike Mbanefo, a lawyer.
“The obvious lack of transparency, which led to the disqualification of the other aspirant in the primaries, Dr. Nwokeocha Ogbonnaya Eze, was a precursor to the poor showing of the APC in the bye-election.
“Being a younger brother of the Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, the feeling is rife that Mascot’s emergence as candidate was tantamount to an imposition.
“We, therefore, restate our earlier call, made on March 11, 2021, to the effect that we shall, using all lawful means at our disposal, resist any attempt to anoint any candidate.
“On the contrary, we reiterate our resolve to take over the governance of Anambra state by unveiling, at the appropriate time, a candidate that would be acceptable to majority of Anambrarians,” the APC Patriots said.
The group disclosed that thus far, it has concluded preliminary interactions with some leading aspirants, including Dr. Chidozie Nwankwo, Senator Andy Uba, Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo, Ben Etiaba, and Chief George Muoghalu, Director General, National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA.
Others include Chief Azuka Okwuosa, Colonel Geoff Onyejegbu, presidential aide, Comrade Maxwell Okoye and Paul Orajiaka, a young entrepreneur.

Abuja (Precise Post) – Information reaching Precise Post has it that violence erupted on Wednesday in Ilorin, Kwara State capital after the state government reopened 10 schools shut last month over the use of hijab by Muslim female students.
The violence started after Christian officials of Baptist School, Surulere disallowed the girls in Hijab from gaining access into the school.
This did not go down well with Muslim parents, leading to arguments and eventual clash.
The situation grew worse as angry Christian and Muslim faithful threw various objects including stones and plastic chairs at themselves.
The security operatives close to the school had to call for reinforcement to calm the situation. The operatives dispersed them with tear gas.
The hijab controversy started over three weeks ago when officials of Saint Anthony Secondary School prevented Muslim female students from gaining entrance to the school claiming that it is a missionary school.
Several meetings were held between Muslim and Christian leaders to resolve the issue with the government temporarily closing down the ten schools until the reopening on Wednesday morning.
The ownership of the ten schools is still pending in the Supreme Court as both the High Court and Appeal Court affirmed the state government as the owner.
The security operatives close to the school had to call for reinforcement and disperse them with teargas.
The Christians angered by the situation said the government should wait for the outcome of the judgement of the Supreme Court before fully taking over the schools.
The Kwara state government has taken over all the missionary schools owned by Christian and Muslims since 1974.
The school reopening was announced on Tuesday night by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Kemi Adeosun.
Mrs Adeosun said, “The government is convinced that its policy to allow willing Muslim schoolgirls to wear their hijab (face covering) in public schools will lead to sustainable peace and communal harmony anchored on mutual respect and understanding.
“This path to mutual respect, understanding, and peace with regards to hijaab had long been adopted in all of the northern Nigeria and many states in the Southwest such as Lagos, Osun, Ekiti, and Oyo States.
“As the students resume normal classes, the government took special notice of the plight of those of them preparing for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination and hereby directs affected schools to hold at least two-hour extra lesson for all the intending candidates after school hours daily.”
The Kwara State government had earlier in February shut 10 grant-aided schools as the controversy surrounding the use of the head covering was yet abated.

The vaccine will help us to go back to our normal life but let us not risk saying we have gotten the vaccine and so we can take chances. It is very important that we continue to respect the established COVID-19 global protocols that are known to check the spread of the virus even before the invention of the vaccine”.

……Cautions against selective implementation
By Ogechi Okorie
Abuja (Precise Post) – The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has thrown its weight behind president’s reported order to the military to shoot on sight anyone seen with an AK-47 rifle in the bush, which, if executed dispassionately, will stem the criminality and lawlessness being perpetrated by bandits and herders in parts of the country.
This it said, bwill bring sanity to the chaotic security situation in the country.
It, however, cautioned against the selective implementation of the presidential directive.
The National Publicity Secretary of PANDEF, Hon Ken Robinson, yesterday that his group will support any lawful decision of the government to end the banditry, kidnapping and killings in the country.
According to him, drastic situations can only be resolved by equally drastic actions as the horrendous occurrences in the country require extreme measures.
He said since the nation’s laws did not permit individuals to carry AK-47 rifles, except military officers, there was no justification for anyone to do so.
“But Fulani herdsmen and bandits have been operating freely with AK-47 and other sophisticated firearms; killing and maiming innocent people across Nigeria as the federal government has been condoning these criminals for too long.
“A sitting Northern governor even had the irrational audacity to defend herdsmen carrying AK-47, saying they used it to protect themselves from cattle rustlers,” he added.
PANDEF urged Nigerians to presume that the government has awakened to the gravity of the situation that renegade herdsmen and bandit are a threat to the unity and peace of Nigeria, and are undermining the nation’s territorial integrity.
“PANDEF would, therefore, caution that the execution of the order should not be selective and discriminative as it has been with everything under this administration. Otherwise, the situation would be like going out of the frying pan into the fire.
PDP Condemns Arrest of Salihu Yakasai For Demanding Presidential Commitment To End Acts of Terrorism

….Demands Salihu Yakasai’s Unconditional Release
By Simple Okechukwu
Abuja (Precise Post) – The People Democratic Party has condemned the arrest of Salihu Yakasai, for joining other patriotic Nigerians in demanding a Presidential commitment of a decisive action to rescue the abducted Zamfara schoolgirls as well as to end all acts of terrorism in our country.
The party which reminded agents of the APC-led administration that Nigeria is a democratic nation and that the rights of citizens, including their freedom of expression, within the ambit of the law must be respected, therefore called for immediate and unconditional release of Salihu Yakasai, son of elder statesman, Tanko Yakasai.
The full statement released via Official twitter handle account of the party reads:
The PDP demands the immediate and unconditional release of Salihu Yakasai, son of elder statesman, Tanko Yakasai, from security custody. PDP Demands Salihu Yakasai’s Unconditional Release.
The party describes the reported arrest of Salihu by security operatives as well as his alleged detention in a secret facility, just after his criticism against the President Buhari administration’s failures in the fight against banditry in our country, as completely unacceptable.
Salihu Yakasai’s ordeal is a sad reminder of the sudden disappearance of another known critic of the Buhari administration, Abubakar Idris, popularly known as Abu Hanifa Dadiyata since August 2019.
The PDP reminds agents of the APC-led administration that Nigeria is a democratic nation and that the rights of citizens, including their freedom of expression, within the ambit of the law, are firmly guaranteed in the 1999 Constitution (as amended) & as such, must be respected.
Our party therefore rejects the arrest of Salihu Yakasai, for joining other patriotic Nigerians in demanding a Presidential commitment of a decisive action to rescue the abducted Zamfara schoolgirls as well as to end all acts of terrorism in our country.
The PDP also condemns the decision of the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Umar Ganduje, in summarily relieving Salihu Yakasai of his appointment as his Special Adviser on media, on the ground that his patriotic demand for a decisive action to end terrorism was contrary to the stand of the APC government.
It is also instructive to note that Governor Ganduje equally warned all political appointees and public servants in the state against such patriotic expressions like those made by Salihu.
The action of the Governor Ganduje has again heightened apprehensions on the alleged connections between APC leaders and the bandits pillaging our nation.
In this regard, the PDP demands that Governor Ganduje comes clean on the matter.
This is because such stances have continued to embolden bandits while frustrating patriotic citizens who are raising voices against acts of terrorism in our country.
The PDP charges Nigerians to hold the APC and its leaders responsible for the escalated acts of banditry and terrorism in our country as well as any harm that suddenly comes the way of well-meaning citizens who are raising their voices against the activities of outlaws in our nation.
