12 ships laden with various commodities arrive at Lagos ports

LAGOS – The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said at least 12 ships have arrived at the Lekki, Tin Can, and Apapa ports in Lagos and are awaiting discharge of petrol, fertilizer, urea, gypsum, containers, and general cargo.

NPA disclosed this in its publication, Shipping Position, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lagos.

The document noted that 38 ships laden with petroleum products, food items, and other goods were expected to arrive at the Apapa, Lekki, and Tin Can Island ports between Feb. 25 and March 5.

It explained that the incoming vessels were carrying buckwheat, bulk gypsum, bulk salt, bulk fertilizer, bulk clinker, crude oil, bulk urea, alkaline, petrol, bulk gas, and containers of various goods.

NAN also reports that 16 other ships are currently at the ports discharging containers, fresh fish, empty containers, diplomatic cargo, bulk sugar, aviation fuel, and bulk urea.(NAN)
