Abuja (Precise Post) – Former President of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan has stressed that increased platforms for young people in the governance structure and decision-making processes will help guarantee justice, equity and inclusion.
Jonathan, who stated this on Thursday on his Facebook page as Nigerian youths join the rest of the world to celebrate this year’s World Youth Day, advised that this should be our focus today and even beyond as we celebrate the strides and commitment of young people for a better world.
“Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health” as a theme for this year’s #InternationalYouthDay underscores the place of youth in our quest for global security, peace and equality”, Jonathan said.
Adding that, “Across the world are cheering stories on the different roles youth have continued to play in the attainment of food security, sustainable development, peace and prosperity.”
He therefore called for continuous collaboration with all stakeholders towards tackling food security, environmental crises and other challenges around the world.Follow Us on Social Media for Latest news
