…Dismisses presidential ambitions of Anyim, Umahi, Orji Kalu.

Abuja (Precise Post) – Federal lawmaker representing Osun East senatorial district, Senator Francis Fadahunsi has revealed why people are clustering around the acclaimed national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu since he indicated his intention to run for president of Nigeria in 2023 general election.
According to him, people cling around Tinubu because of poverty not that he is so powerfully intelligent. If you see the section of the country running to him, it is because of what they will get from him, because if he wants to empower you, benevolently he does it. He listens to human beings, he give them power, unfortunately many of them are now paying him back in his own coins. When some of the South West leaders he brought up are now deserting him, he has to run to the North and that is why you see the massive movement of the Northern middle class running to him to get their own share.
Senator Fadahunsi also dismissed the presidential ambitions of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim, the Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi and Senate Chief Whip and former Governor of Abia state, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, saying they are not credible.
Senator Fadahunsi said: “Nobody will vote Anyim, Orji Uzor Kalu is still fighting to save his neck after serving as governor. For Umahi, he is just dreaming. Many of them are dreaming. When you are mentioning people, mention people with credibility. Kalu is still having a case with EFCC, Pius Anyim and Umahi, are all from minority Igbo. Do they have votes? If you wants to come, first of all, you must have votes?
Fadahunsi stated these in an interview with some journalists at the National Assembly shortly after the upper chamber re-amended the Electoral Act (2010) Amendment Bill paving way for political parties to use either direct, indirect primaries or consensus candidature in the recruitment process of candidates for elections at all levels.
According to him, those Tinubu “empowered” in the South West, unfortunately didn’t return his good gesture, making the former Lagos state governor turn to the North for support thereby paving way for the North to have a bite of his “generosity”. He advised people to watch and see where the APC national chairman will come from since “you can’t have national chairman and presidential candidate from the same zone”.
The Osun senator regretted that his own party, the PDP is losing ground in the South West, especially Ekiti state through the former governor of the state, Ayo Fayose, adding that the next target of Tinubu after capturing Ekiti is Osun state.
On the “fight” between Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola and the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, Fadahunsi said “people should ask the duo why father and son are fighting”, adding, they are the only ones who know why they are fighting.
On the recent rice pyramid lunched in Abuja, the former Customs officer said it was “artificial” and indicated that “ all is not well. It was premeditated”, adding “are the rice not going back?. If you’re talking about pyramid it should be in the area where it’s cultivated like Abakiliki or those rice producing states and you see it there but not this kind of arrangement.
He said “the North cannot feed us again because of the insecurity problem it is facing”, stressing that all the country needs is to “let the institutions work”.
