Dike Chukwumerije has reflected on the circumstances that characterised the February 25th 2023 presidential and national assembly elections and concluded that it was a good day to feel pride as a Nigerian.

Dike who took to his Facebook page to narrate what he described as the exhibition of the inimitable Nigerian way backed by pictures said:

“This is me this morning, 24 hours after I arrived at my polling unit. Yes, it took all of 24 hours to get it done. I voted around 8.30pm last night and sat through the night for voting to end, and counting to begin and end. True.”

“At about 5am this morning, we all counted to when Peter Obi crossed a thousand votes at our polling unit. With just 1288 accredited voters, this was an LP polling unit. The result sheet proves it. The party swept Senate and House of Reps as well at this polling unit.”

“That’s us gathered around the INEC official as they round up, waiting for them to upload. We stood as one through the day and the night, providing order, light, food and companionship in that inimitable Nigerian way. “

“To ensure that things were done correctly, no voter was left behind, and the proper results were recorded. True. Today, is a good day to feel pride as a Nigerian.”
