ABUJA – Human Rights Lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana has said that democracy is in retreat in Nigeria, adding that there is nothing to celebrate or to say it has been achieved except the unterrupted civil rule, not democracy.
Falana stated this when he appeared on AIT’s “State of the Nation” programme on Wednesday to discuss twenty five years of democracy.
He said before President Bola Tinubu increasing poverty policy of removing fuel subsidy, the poverty is on the ascendency and insecurity is not abating.
