Supreme Court Victory: Obaseki Hails Diri, Says it’s Victory for Democracy

Benin City (Precise Post) – Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki has congratulated his Bayelsa State counterpart, Route Diri and his Deputy, Sen Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, on their victory at the Supreme Court over the petition against their election.

Recall that Supreme Court yesterday upheld his election as elected governor of Bayelsa State.

Obaseki who took to his twitter handle account to hail Diri and his Deputy tweeted:

I congratulate the Governor of Bayelsa State, H.E Douye Diri and his deputy, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, on their victory at the Supreme Court, over the petition against their election.

The verdict is a victory for democracy. The Supreme Court has upheld the wishes of Bayelsans.
