The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has formally denied reports suggesting that it has endorsed the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, as a candidate for the 2027 general elections. The party clarified that recent media coverage misrepresented the outcomes of a stakeholders’ meeting held in Hong Local Government Area.
In a statement issued by the APC’s Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Abdullahi, the party acknowledged that Ribadu was commended during the meeting for his contributions to national security and his steadfast support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration. However, Abdullahi emphasized that no political endorsement was made at the event.
He reiterated the party’s unwavering support for President Tinubu’s anticipated second-term bid and urged the public to disregard any reports to the contrary. The statement further stressed that all official party decisions are guided by constitutional processes, not by media speculation or misinterpretation.
The Adamawa APC concluded by reaffirming its loyalty to the current administration and calling for unity among its members as the party prepares for future political engagements.
