Former Vice President of Nigeria and African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain, Atiku Abubakar, has revealed that former Governor Nasir El-Rufai remains in good spirits following the unsuccessful attempt by security operatives to arrest him at the airport on Thursday.

Atiku, in a statement via his Facebook account on Friday, confirmed that he visited the former Kaduna State Governor, and he was unfazed by the incident.

He added that El-Rufai, who is also a chieftain of the ADC, remains committed to the ideals of building a better Nigeria.

“Last night, I paid a solidarity visit to the former Governor of Kaduna State and stalwart of the African Democratic Congress, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, following the failed attempt to arrest him at the airport upon his arrival in the country.

“He was unfazed by the incident and remains committed to the battle to enthrone a better Nigeria,” Atiku wrote in a personally signed statement.
