A falling container killed a woman in the Ogudu area of Lagos on Friday.  The woman was inside a car when the fully loaded 40ft Mack articulated truck fell on it, leading to her instant death, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said. “A fully loaded 40fts Mack articulated truck today fell on a Nissan Car (ABJ 692 BG) and instantly killed a woman at the rear of the car while the car driver survived unhurt with support by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) Officials by N.N.P.C inward Estate, Alapere, Lagos,” the agency’s Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department Adebayo Taofiq said in a statement. Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has admitted to being a male during his appearance at the Federal High Court in Lagos State, on Friday. Justice Abimbola Awogboro sentenced him to six months imprisonment without the option of a fine for abusing the naira. Before the sentence, the judge asked about his gender, and he quickly replied that he was a man. When the judge asked, “Are you a man or a woman?” Bobrisky responded, “I am a man.” Awogboro said the judgment would be a deterrent to others who are found abusing and mutilating the naira. Two students of the Federal University, Wukari, Taraba State, kidnapped two weeks ago have regained their freedom.  The Head, Information and Protocol Unit of the institution, Mrs Ashu Agbu, disclosed this in a WhatsApp message sent to our correspondent on Friday.  “The two students of the Federal University Wukari who were kidnapped regained their freedom last night after spending days in the hands of their abductors,’ she said. Ondo Amotekun apprehends 14 kidnappers, 31 others

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as the Amotekun Corps, on Wednesday, paraded no fewer than 45 suspected criminals in the state. Gov. Ododo announces arrest of suspects linked to Kogi killings

The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, on Wednesday, announced the arrest of the culprits behind the recent killings in the state. The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has recalled the popular cough syrup, Benylin Paediatrics, manufactured by Johnson & Johnson following recent toxicity findings in the laboratory on the product.
