ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has intensified preparations for the 2027 general elections in Bauchi State with the official unveiling of Dr. Yakubu Adamu as its governorship candidate and Hon. Mahmood Babamaji Abubakar as his running mate.
The unveiling ceremony, attended by stakeholders, supporters and political associates from across the state, also saw the emergence of Senator Bala Mohammed as Bauchi South senatorial candidate under the party’s platform.
Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State who disclosed this on his X handle hinted that speaking at the event, party leaders described the development as a major step toward strengthening unity within the APM and expanding its support base ahead of the 2027 elections.
In his remarks, Dr. Adamu pledged to sustain and improve on the developmental achievements already recorded in Bauchi State, stressing the need for inclusive leadership, continuity in governance and stronger collaboration among party members.
He appealed to former aspirants and supporters to put aside their differences and unite in pursuit of the party’s vision for the state.
The governorship candidate further reaffirmed his commitment to infrastructure development, economic growth, youth empowerment and social welfare programmes aimed at improving the living conditions of residents.
Party members at the gathering also expressed optimism over the APM’s chances in the 2027 elections, pledging continued support for the party and its candidates.
The senatorial candidate for Bauchi South thanked party faithful for their loyalty and dedication, urging them to remain steadfast and committed as the party works toward what he described as “a brighter and more prosperous future” for Bauchi State.
