A recent Voters’ Preference Survey by Invictus Africa offers an interesting insight: 64.4% of eligible voters surveyed said they would vote for a woman in the 2027 general elections.
But willingness to vote is only the beginning.
What would actually earn that vote? The survey provides some important answers, from competence and credibility to clear policies, relevant qualifications, a strong track record and meaningful political engagement.
For women seeking elective office, this is an important conversation. The opportunity exists, but so does the responsibility to demonstrate that we are prepared to lead and deliver.
