ABUJA – The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25, 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar has extoled the virtues of late Senator Ayogu Eze, saying he served served the people of Enugu North Senatorial District and indeed Nigeria with distinction.
The former Vice President who stated this in a condolence message he personally signed and released via his X account @atiku, expressed shock and sadness over his demise.
He said that late Ayogu Eze was a founding member of the PDP.
Atiku’s statement reads:
I received the news of the passing of Sen. Ayogu Eze with shock and sadness. He was a founding member of the @OfficialPDPNig who served the people of Enugu North Senatorial District and indeed Nigeria with distinction. May his family be comforted and his soul rest in peace. -AA
Precise Post recalls that Ayogu Eze died died on Thursday in an Abuja hospital at the age of 66 after a protracted illness.
