Jalingo (Precise Post) – A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in kogi state and Aspirant for the Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency in kogi state Mr Ben Adaji on Friday decamped to the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP along with over 5,000 of his supporters from other political parties including the APC and PDP .

The decamping ceremony which took place at the NNPP local government Secretariat at Okpo, Olamaboro local government witnessed large supporters from other political parties, especially APC and PDP.

The North central Zonal vice Chairman of the NNPP Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar fondly called ‘Elephant’ who received the decampees said he was overwhelmed with joy to receive the large crowd decamping from other political parties to the NNPP.

“With what is happening today, it is evident that NNPP remains the only alternative to APC and PDP.

He said the party will live her ideology which is justice and fairness, adding that the guiding principle of the party is to ensure fairness to all which is lacking in the APC and PDP.

The Zonal vice chairman commended Chief Ben Adaji for the great mobilization and his supporters for choosing NNPP as a better alternative and further disclosed that the party is expected to receive millions of more decampee from all over the states of the country.

Speaking during the decamping ceremony, Chief Ben Adaji a two time aspirant for House of representatives under Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala Federal Constituency in Kogi state said he dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress APC because of lack of justice and fairness in the party.

“I Was the one who brought APC to Olamaboro, I used my personal resources to fund the party when those who hijacked the party today were in PDP. I aspired for the House of Representatives twice but very unpopular candidates were forcefully imposed on us.

Sadly, some opponents who see themselves as semi- Gods have hijacked and turned the party to their personal estate. I was left with no alternative than to dump the party and join the NNPP that has come up with the kind of ideology I am comfortable with. Out here, our people are enlightened enough to vote for credible candidates and not just political parties so I am optimistic that victory will eventually be ours” Adaji said

Our correspondent reports that Adaji used the occasion to declare his intention to contest for House of representatives under Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala Federal Constituency.

The event witnessed the burning of large brooms by the decampees to signify the death of APC in the area.
