ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has expressed renewed optimism about Nigeria’s economic direction following a high-level Easter Sunday meeting with President Bola Tinubu and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.
In a statement shared after the visit on his X handle on Monday, Otedola revealed that the trio engaged in discussions centered on the state of the economy and the potential impact of ongoing reforms on ordinary Nigerians.
The meeting, which took place on Easter Sunday, a day symbolizing renewal and hope in the Christian calendar, highlighted what Otedola described as the President’s unwavering commitment to national service.
According to him, despite the significance of the holiday, President Tinubu remained focused on governance and economic issues affecting the country.
“On a day of resurrection and renewal, Mr President was still working. That kind of commitment gives you hope for Nigeria,” Otedola noted, underscoring the symbolic importance of both the occasion and the discussions held.
While details of the policy conversations were not fully disclosed, Otedola emphasized that the deliberations were geared towards ensuring that Nigerians feel the tangible benefits of the government’s reform agenda. The engagement reflects ongoing collaboration and dialogue between the public and private sectors as the administration navigates economic challenges and implements fiscal and structural reforms.
The presence of Dangote, whose industrial empire spans key sectors of the Nigerian economy, further signals the strategic importance of private sector input in shaping policies aimed at economic recovery and growth.
Precise Post recalls that the Easter meeting has since drawn attention as a sign of strengthened synergy between top business leaders and the presidency, raising expectations that such collaborations could translate into improved economic outcomes for Nigerians.
