ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has convened an emergency stakeholders’ meeting to address a four-month dispute surrounding a development project in Kuje, Abuja.
The meeting follows allegations by the developer, Jacob & Co Hospitality, that the FCDA Deputy Director of South Development, Kalu Madubuike, demanded a ₦100 million bribe to facilitate approval for the Kuje project.
In a statement, the company’s director, Kunle Diamond-Illori, also alleged that Madubuike admitted during an earlier meeting that he was acting on behalf of third-party interests involved in the dispute.
According to the developer, the emergency meeting will bring together FCTA officials, the company’s representatives, and other stakeholders in an effort to resolve the dispute.
Diamond-Illori described the meeting as a critical test of the government’s commitment to transparency and the ease of doing business in the Federal Capital Territory, expressing hope that it would help address alleged corruption within the development approval process.
However, the bribery allegations have not been independently verified, and the FCTA is yet to issue an official response to the claims.
