Busted! How Squad Nabbed Man Buying Pistol to Kill SARS Official Who Killed His Brother

Yenagoa (Precise Post)- Operatives of the Anti-kidnapping unit in a stint operation arrested one Ovie Everest ‘m’ 26 years, a native of Ekugbo Community, Ughelli, Delta State, for planning to procure a firearm.

He claimed he wanted to use the firearm in killing a member of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) who had killed his brother.

The police spokesman in the state, SP Asinim Butswat, said in a statement on Thursday that the 26-year-old suspected robber who resides in Ughelli claimed that he came to Yenagoa to purchase a firearm to kill a member of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squat (SARS) in his area.

He said N200,000 meant for the purchase of the firearm was recovered from the suspect.

He said: “Operatives of the Anti-kidnapping unit in a stint operation arrested one Ovie Everest ‘m’ 26 years, a native of Ekugbo Community, Ughelli, Delta State, for planning to procure a firearm.

“The suspect came to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State to buy a Barretta Pistol, which he claimed he will use to kill a member of the disbanded SARS who allegedly killed his brother at Ugheli.

Police are investigating
