ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Despite PoliticaThe Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has garnered praise from former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka for completing the Houston Half Marathon, a feat that highlights his mental resilience and determination. Although not personally connected to the Governor and critical of some of his associations, Osita Chidoka, a prominent political figure, acknowledge the d the achievement, describing it as a testament to Makinde’s perseverance and modern outlook.
Chidoka, who previously admired Makinde’s tenacity in overcoming electoral challenges, expressed admiration for the Governor’s performance despite political differences. “Completing a half marathon in freezing cold conditions is no small feat and cements my respect for him,” Chidoka said when he took to his X account on Friday.
While many have lauded Makinde’s governance of Oyo State, Chidoka’s post also called for an ambitious initiative: the establishment of an Ibadan Half Marathon and a Fela Anikulapo Kuti Concert Hall. “Every successful city has a marathon and a concert hall,” he noted, suggesting that such projects would be key cultural and infrastructural milestones for Ibadan.
In a final note of admiration, Chidoka praised the Governor’s pace of 2:53 minutes, emphasizing the challenge of running under such harsh conditions. “All hail the Governor… ko easy rara,” he concluded.
