Abuja (Precise Post) – Senate is now in a closed door session with the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu over community policing.
Recall that the Senate had last week during debate on the spate of insecurity, invited the IGP to appear before it today to brief them on the possible concept and practical implementation modalities of community policing policy.
The IGP appeared before the Senate in company of the Special adviser to the President on National Assembly matters, Babajide Omoworare.
The briefing followed the order of the day on Nigerian Security challenges: urgent need to restructure, review and reorganize,” as stated by the Senate leader, Yahaya Abdullahi.
It would be recalled that several regions and states are working on possible ways of establishing their own police after the south west governors launched operation amotekun.
