Abuja (Precise Post) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said that 399 new infections were confirmed on Friday in Nigeria.
Releasing the report via it’s twitter handle late yesterday night, the NCDC said the new infections were recorded from 18 states (including FCT) out of the 36 states of the federation as follows:
Lagos-101; Anambra-96; Edo-50; Abia-29; Imo-28; Ogun-19; Akwa Ibom-16 and Kaduna-13.
Others states where the new cases were recorded are: FCT-7; Bayelsa, Kano and Oyo-6 each; Delta and Rivers-5; Nasarawa-4; Ebonyi and Osun-3 each and Gombe-2.
The health agency further stated that the new infections brought the total confirmed cases to 160,332 out of which 144,059 patients have been discharged from across the various isolation facilities in Nigeria.
It regrettably reported that 2,009 lives have been lost to COVID-19 related complications in the country since the index case was reported in February 27 last year.
