COVID-19: Plateau 59, Rivers 27 as NCDC Records 216 New Cases

Abuja (Precise Post) – Plateau state came first on the COVID-19 infections list with 59 patients followed by Rivers with 27 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recorded 216 new cases of the novel virus in Nigeria.

Others are; Abia-22; Lagos-20; Oyo-18; Enugu-17; Kaduna-11; FCT-11; Ogun-10; Ebonyi, Osun and Ekiti-4 each; Delta and Edo-3 each; Akwa Ibom-2 and
Bauchi-1.

The NCDC which disclosed this on Wednesday in its report released via twitter handle, said that the fresh infections recorded brought the total Confirmed cases to 54,463.

The health agency added that 42,439 patients have been treated and discharged from various isolation facilities across the country.

It also noted with regret, that 1,027 lives have been lost to COVID-19 related complications.
