Covid-19: Sen Oseni Calls for Suspension of Nationwide ICT Training for Civil Servants

Abuja (Precise Post) – Chairman, Senate Committee on ICT/Cybercrime, Senator Yakubu Oseni has called for suspension of free ICT/cybercrime training for civil servants across the country in line with the Federal Government’s directive to limit gatherings as one of the measures to curtail the spread of COVID-19,

The lawmaker in a statement from the oofice of his media crew revealed that the suspension of all training activities is indefinite as the country continues to combat the pandemic.

Recall that for some weeks now, the free ICT/cybercrime training for all civil servants had commenced in Kogi State which would be rounded up on 21st of March, 2020 just as States like Kano, Kaduna, Anambra, Cross River, and Enugu were ready to commence theirs next week before the suspension.

The committee handling the training would be prompted to notify everyone once it is appropriate to resume, the statement added.
