YENAGOA — The Bayelsa State Governor, Duoye Diri on Tuesday visited the facilities of the Azikel Refinery still under construction in Obunagha community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the State.
Diri, who congratulated the Azikel Group of Companies for this feat, described it as a right investment and great initiative that will boost the state’s economy, build new skills and generate employment for our youths.
He disclosed this when he took to his official X account, stressing that the project justifies our calls for the establishment of oil and gas companies in the Niger Delta region and Bayelsa State in particular, and expressed excitement that the refinery is being built by a Bayelsan, Dr. Azibapu Godbless Eruani.
Diri said that the government and people of the state are waiting patiently for the take-off date set by the company for the last quarter of 2025.
