DSS seeks security partnership with Nigerian Army in Kaduna

KADUNA- The Department of State Services (DSS), Kaduna Command, on Monday sought partnership with 1 Division, Nigerian Army, to strengthen national security.

 

The State Director of Security, Mr Hakeem Abiola, paid a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, Maj.-Gen. Abubakar Wase, in Kaduna.

 

Abiola congratulated the GOC on his appointment, stressing that the visit aimed to build synergy with the Division in tackling insurgency and banditry within its area of responsibility.

 

Responding, Wase reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s non-kinetic approach, which emphasises collaboration with sister services and other security agencies to maintain peace and security.

 

He added that the Division would continue working with the state government to ensure a secure and peaceful atmosphere in Kaduna State.

 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that highlights of the visit included interactions and the presentation of a souvenir. (NAN)
