Benin City (Precise Post) – The winners of Saturday’s governorship election in Edo state, Governor Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy Philip Shaibu on Monday received certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Governor Obaseki and his running mate Philip Shaibu received the certificate at the Edo state office of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The PDP disclosed this via its twitter handle @OfficialPDPNig.
Precise Post recalls that incumbent governor Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy who is also his running mate, Philip Shaibu of the Peoples Democratic Party defeated it’s closest rival, Pastor Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress to emerge the winner of the keenly contested election.
