BENIN CITY – There is heavy rain in Ewohimi as early as 7:30am in Edo State.
The Nigeria Police Force is matching words with action in ensuring total compliance with the restriction of movements in Edo State.
As of 7.30 this morning, men and materials in ward five Registration Area Center (RAC) at Oliha Primary School had not moved out to location.
There was some delay as security agents stopped the polling officers from moving out without their identification particulars.
While that lasted, party officials waited anxiously outside the RAC.
At some of the polling centres voters had arrived as early before 7 in the morning as they await the arrival of INEC officials and materials for voting to start.
At the Sapele road in Benin City, vehicular movements are being queried, irrespective of such VIP vehicles having police orderlies.
There are security vehicles on steady patrol along the major roads in the capital.
Voting and accreditation have started at polling 19 Unit Ward 4.
Also, voting started at Governor Godwin Obaseki’s polling unit in Okemole 1/Emokpae Primary School, Unit 19, Ward 4, Oredo LGA, Edo State.
Similarly, domestic observers from Intercontinental Leadership Initiative visited Ward 4 at Emokpae Primary School, Edo State.
The security officials are on top of the game as Police have arrest political thugs In Edo State and recovered fire arms in raids.
