Elon Musk set to introduce video, audio calls on X

by Arabella Zikora

The owner of the social media platform X, Elon Musk, has announced plans to add video and audio call features to the app.

In announcing the development on Thursday, Musk disclosed that the new features will not require the use of a mobile number.

Musk wrote: “Video and audio calls coming to X. Works on Android, iOS, Mac & PC. No phone number is needed. X is an effective global address book. That set of factors is unique.”

This is coming some weeks after X, formerly known as Twitter, started paying rewards to creators who are Twitter Blue subscribers.

Precise Post reported that Musk had in July replaced the social media’s globally recognised blue bird logo with a white X on a black background.
