ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Special Adviser, Media and Public Communication and Spokesperson to the President, Sunday Dare has accused the former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El’Rufai, ex-minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi and handfull of others of heating up the polity while President Bola Tinubu was in far away Dar es Salaam, capital of Tanzania seeking solutions to Nigerias’ energy problems.
Dare who took to his verified X account handle to highlight this, reiterated that a few of the participants went overboard in their vitriol, fanning the embers for adopting undemocratic actions.
He described the event as a gathering convened to further spread ill-will, stressing that nothing new came out of the gathering different from the opposition script the government is used to.
In his words:
“While President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria was away in far away Dar es Salaam, capital of Tanzania, his political opponents, detractors, opposition elements, psuedo friends unfolded their Machiavellian inclinations.
“Indeed, while the President was seeking solutions to Nigerias’ energy problems in Dar es Salaam, some “wannabes “were heating up the polity.
“Expectedly, it was a gathering convened to further spread ill-will. Nothing new came out of the gathering different from the opposition script we are used to. A few of the participants went overboard in their vitriol, fanning the embers for adopting undemocratic actions.
“These political gladiators have antecedents that are well known. We urge Nigerians to begin their scrutiny early. And choose between political hecklers and real progressives. The clouds are beginning to clear. The stage sets soon. The combat begins.
“Until then, President Tinubu, an avowed democrat remains undistracted and unperturbed. The fight is ahead. Not now. The only conversation he wants to have now is how to improve the lives of Nigerian citizens and constructive discourse on building a resilient economy.
“This is 2025. Not 2027. Let those who want to test their popularity with Nigerians wait for the next election. President Tinubu is fully focused on providing the leadership that will transform our country.
Precise Post recalls that speaking at a national conference in Abuja on strengthening democracy in Nigeria on Tuesday, El-Rufai referred to the All Progressives Party led federal government as “illiterates in leadership” and described the state of governance and opposition in the country as a national emergency,
Also, during the same gathering, Amaechi was quoted as saying that Nigerian politicians must “steal, maim, and kill” to remain in power and that Tinubu nor any poltician, including himself, is ready to give out power easily and that they would continue in that trajectory unless Nigerians are ready to die to defend their vote.
Also the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has condemned in the strongest terms what he described as the reckless and inciting utterances made by Amaechi, regarding the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
