Report reaching Precise Post has it that the Department of State Services, (DSS), Sunday arrested Omoyele Sowore, the 2019 and 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, ACC following his return to Nigeria at the Lagos Airport..
Sowore left the Washington Dulles International Airport at 6.14 EDT and arrived in Lagos at around 9.43 WAT.
The development comes after it was learnt in early September that the DSS had instructed airport security and immigration authorities to intercept and detain Sowore whenever he returns to the country.
The directive to arrest Sowore was issued by the newly appointed DSS Director-General, Adeola Ajayi, due to his prominent role in the recent 10-day #EndBadGovernance protests.
